THIS WEEK’S BEST BET:
Wu-Tang Clan with DJ Kash
Tuesday, December 14
Center Stage – 1374 West Peachtree Street NW in Atlanta 30309
Admission is $41.50 / Purchase Tickets
Atlanta, get ready to throw your Ws up y’all, the Wu is coming to town! Almost 20 years in the game and, still, for my money, nobody does it better. Individually, they’ve enjoyed an incredible amount of success with classic solo joints dropped from the likes of Raekwon, Ghostface and Meth. But it’s as a collective unit that they’re at their most lethal, able to tap into an unparalled arsenal of lyrical styles and sharp flows. Witnessing just one master MC at work is impressive enough, having as many as eight or nine appear on a single stage is a spectacle that you just shouldn’t pass up. Unfortunately, the Wu will be without the services of head Clansman, RZA, who is in China directing a movie. In his place, DJ Kash will step up to the turntables, providing the backdrops and beats for the Killer Beez to get their swarm on. Definitely the illest time you’ll have this holiday season.

So excited for Wu-Tang. I don’t think I’ve seen more than 3 of them on stage together at one time.
