Atlanta’s All Night Drug Prowling Wolves play ragged, booze-fueled rock that brings to mind the raucous intensity of the Replacements mixed with the nostalgia-driven blue collar punk of Leatherface and the Gaslight Anthem. Gravel-throated frontman Tom Cheshire drags the whole thing through the gutter and back, spitting, shouting and crooning his way through songs that are often as redemptive as they are destructive. It’s music that reeks of cigarettes, that’s sticky with sweat from late, whiskey-soaked nights and the stench of beer-stained barroom floors.
The band’s second full-length, Make It Right, is due out August 31st via the Stickfigure offshoot, the Gospel of Rhythm Recordings. The first single, “Where We’ve Been” is a simmering, no frills rocker featuring a knockdown chorus. You can stream and download the MP3 below.
