In keeping with the time-honored tradition of releasing the worst track on your album as the first single, stoner metal outfit, The Sword, have revealed the video for one of Warp Riders’ few mediocre moments, “Tres Brujas.” Much like the album, I have no idea what’s going on here, just an overriding sense of all-around awesomeness. The guys are on some remote desert planet … that much is easy. There are three witches … that I get from the title and the chorus. But what’s up with the swords? I thought this conceptual geekfest, as crushing and rifftacular as it might be, was about an archer. Whatever. Like consistency matters when you’re confronted with blistering guitars and gratuitous violence. It’s better to just sit back and enjoy the punishment.
