I just want to take a minute to appreciate the fact that Atlanta has become a regular stop for New Jersey rockers and committed road warriors, Titus Andronicus. And with all the critical success behind last year’s magnificent sophomore effort, the Monitor, I keep expecting the group to take their raucous live show to a bigger stage. But here they are playing the Earl once again, which, honestly, is just the way it should be. The band’s earnest, fist-pumping anthems were meant to be experienced up close and personal; they should never be further than arm’s length from their fervent fans. If you’ve never had the opportunity to witness Titus Andronicus live, I highly suggest you remedy that this Sunday night. Their cathartic, energy-filled shows will renew your faith in the restorative power of rock ‘n roll.
