Jungol never seem to slow down. There’s always another show to play, another single to cut, another DVD to produce, another remix to approve, another project to pursue. This relentless drive to create is a large part of what fans find so endearing about the band—their considerable songwriting talents don’t hurt any either. On Saturday, the prog pop trio will celebrate both the release of a new single, as well as a live DVD recorded last April at the Earl. The single, entitled “Who’s in Bed?”, is the first track from an upcoming full-length the band is recording with Justin Mullinix, known for his work with Andre 3000, Stokeswood and Rehab. The track will give listeners their first peek at a new musical direction for Jungol, which is rumored to be darker than what appeared on 2010′s excellent Over the Sun and Under the Radar LP. Local rockers Sun Domingo and Virginia Beach’s the Influence open the show.
