MP3: Turf War – “Cheers to the Years”

Turf War

“Cheers to the Years” has been floating around the Internet for a few months now, but with Turf War’s record release show looming this Saturday night at 529, I figured it was a good time to post it here.

For the uninitiated, the opening single from the Atlanta quintet’s debut LP, Years of Living Dangerously, is as good an introduction as any to their rough and raucous barroom approach. It’s a sweaty, booze-fueled anthem that is as catchy as it is ragged. This is music meant for blurry late night singalongs, flailing limbs and pumping fists.

Produced by Ian St Pé of the Black Lips, Years of Living Dangerously is out October 18 via Brooklyn-based Old Flame Records.
