VIDEO: Little Tybee – “Boxcar Fair”

The second phenomenal local music video in as many days (following yesterday’s posting of the Back Pockets’ wonderful “Break Up Song” vid) comes courtesy of local chamber pop outfit Little Tybee, and, Jesus Christmas, is this thing gorgeous. Created and directed by Brock Scott and artist Tom Haney, “Boxcar Fair” was shot entirely in one take without any cuts or edits whatsoever using a team of skilled puppeteers to bring the video’s mesmerizing magical sequences to life. I’ve been racking my brain for a good bit trying to come up with something clever to say about all this, but I’m simply awestruck by the level of artistic vision displayed in this video. So I’m just going to keep my trap shut and let you all enjoy the amazingness on your own.

Little Tybee will be headlining the Atlanta Music Roundtable 2011 showcase on Wednesday, December 21 at the Earl. Also performing will be Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun, along with New Animal and Spirits and the Melchizedek Children. Doors open at 8pm. $5 gets you in.
