On Tuesday, Atlanta psych rockers, the Clap, released their first 7″ featuring a pair of dreamy, lo-fi stompers drenched in reverb, fuzzed-out guitars and slurred pop vocals. In support of the record, the band has unveiled a video for the b-side jam “Lucy 2.” If you’re a fan of vintage sci-fi footage (who isn’t?), retro nudity (boobies!) and JFK (?), then you, my friend, have just struck visual gold.
The Clap will celebrate the release of the “The Operation” b/w “Lucy 2″ 7″ tonight at Star Bar. Also performing (and celebrating 7″ releases of their own) will be label mates Carnivores and Mood Rings. Red Sea open the show. Doors are at 9pm and admission is FREE!
