As they prepare to hit the road as part of the first ever Favorite Gentlemen Tour, Southern alt-rockers Death On Two Wheels have released a new single in the form of the hard-charging “Hey Amariah.” The song, which appears as part of the Favorite Gentlemen Sampler made available for download last week on NoiseTrade, is a big guitar, dirty soul-infused rager, full of grimy riffs and bawdy attitude. It’s dramatic, borderline cock rock, but damn if it doesn’t feel good to hear an old-fashioned driving, anthemic rock song that isn’t afraid to swagger and swing.
Grab the track below and then make sure to download the sampler, which features a killer set of tunes from the likes of regional up-and-comers All Get Out and Junior Astronomers, as well as Atlanta artists O’Brother and Right Away! Great Captain, the solo moniker of Manchester Orchestra frontman Andy Hull.
The eleven-date Latest Gentlemen Tour will kickoff on August 16 in Nashville before striking out across the Midwest and then down the East Coast. The tour concludes with a pair of Georgia shows, including a stop in Atlanta on Thursday, August 30 at Purgatory in the Masquerade. Check out the full list of dates below.
