STREAM: Uncle Touchy – “Body Hammer”

Uncle Touchy

You have no idea what this is, do you? I guarantee you have absolutely zero clue. Well, I’m going to let you in on a little secret: we here at Latest Disgrace have reached a historic milestone. Because this here is post number 666. That’s right, for this one brief shining moment we’ve reached EVIL STATUS. Exciting, right?

And what better way to celebrate our newly acquired nefariousness than with some truly brutal and sinister noise rock? Something with menacing guitars and vicious screaming that would terrorize THE SHIT out of your parents, your grandparents, schoolchildren, government officials, whatever. And for that I bring you Uncle Touchy. I assure you these filthy fuckers can bring the HATE with a psychotic fury that’s downright nasty. Think along the lines of the Jesus Lizard, Unsane and Melvins and you’ll start to get the picture. This is violent, visceral, patently confrontational stuff and I LOVE IT.

The band’s full-length debut, Everything You Wanted to Know About Violence, was released in November of last year, but there are plans for a vinyl re-release coming next month via Canadian imprint No List Records. In the meantime, check out the bellicose ball of unmitigated spite that is the album’s opening track, “Body Hammer,” and then hit up their Bandcamp page where you can grab their album for just $3.

Uncle Touchy will perform this Saturday night, January 28th, at the Music Room. Fellow noise rockers Dyess headline the show with sludge metal act Halmos also scheduled to perform. Doors open at 9pm.
