I’ve been waiting for something to kick this miserable fucking Monday in the teeth and now I finally have it in the form of this vicious new demo track from local noise merchants Uncle Touchy. With its serrated guitars, caustic vocals and pulverizing rhythms, “Slump” is another raw AmRep-indebted skull-crusher from a band that seems to specialize in delivering the harshest, most acerbic vitriol they can muster. The song is virtually boiling over with misanthropic rage, but the group tempers it with just enough melodic hardcore stabs to keep it from becoming oppressively discordant. Check it out below.
