Ten ATL Records to Listen for in May

Hawks - PushoverApril certainly fulfilled its promise as being one of the better months for local music in recent memory, but from the looks of it we’re not going to have any time to catch our breath before May comes barreling in with a promising host of new records clamoring for our attention. In fact, this month is not wasting a single second in unleashing new music on our ears. It’s only the first and already we have brand spanking new releases from established acts Reptar and Hope for Agoldensummer, as well as one from up-and-comers the Good Graces. By this weekend the number of new records will have swollen to five leaving us wondering when the hell we’re going to have time to listen to it all (not that we’re complaining, mind you). Fortunately, there will be a bit of a lull after that barrage which should give us plenty of time to prepare for the back-to-back blitzkrieg that will be the Royal Thunder and Hawks releases. Can you say highpoint of the spring music season? I know I can.
