Ever since the release of their debut full length, Sun and Sidearm, last summer, Cloudeater has been working tirelessly to get its music into as many ears as possible by maintaining one of the city’s busiest show schedules, engaging in collaborative efforts with the likes of rapper Wale, and putting together an impressive assortment of live and studio videos on their YouTube channel. On Tuesday the band released its second official video from the record, this one for the phenomenal “Blurry Wisdom.” As videos go, there’s nothing extraordinary here; it’s exclusively a found footage affair, but it does feature some solid editing work that helps tie the visuals and the track together and make everything feel a bit more organic. Overall this is one of those cases where the music (“Blurry Wisdom” was one of our favorite songs of 2011) is so damn infectious that you could set it against just about any visual backdrop and we’d watch the hell out of it just to hear that killer chorus kick in one more time. Check it out below.
Cloudeater will perform this Tuesday, September 18, at Terminal West in support of Dam Funk. Velveteen Pink and Qurious are also on the bill. Doors open at 9pm. $12 gets you in.
