It’s been well over a year since Sealions released their retro-minded synth-pop gem, Strange Veins, so it’s good to see the band still pushing the record and drawing inspiration from its soft-hued dancefloor musings. This morning the group unveiled their latest video, this one for the lush and atmospheric “Golden.” Directed by Troy Stains, the video takes an offbeat and whimsical approach with a recurring kaleidoscope effect and some rather quirky scenes involving fruit and honey helping to coat everything is a semi-surreal veneer. Sealions will be performing this Saturday night, February 25th, at the Earl. Headlining the show will be Cute Boots. Nashville’s Natalie Prass is also scheduled to perform. Doors are at 9:00PM. Admission is $7.
