Blood Drunk Records Unveils New ‘Give It a Home’ Compilation

Blood Drunk Records - Give It a Home Vol. 2

On Monday, local label Blood Drunk Records, home to the likes of Swank Sinatra, DAMS, the Joy Kills and many more, released Give It a Home: Volume 2, a new compilation featuring tracks (many new) from 21 local bands. Anyone who’s followed the imprint over the past few years, or gave a listen to the first comp in the series, will know that they lean heavily towards the rock spectrum, and, if anything, this comp underscores just how diverse that loose genre designation can be. In addition to the usual BDR suspects, you’ll find songs from the electronic-minded Jungol, hardcore punks Seagulls, psychedelic enthusiasts Nobra Noma and math rockers Hello Cobra. There’s a whole lot there to weed through, but it’s definitely a good primer on both the label and the musical aesthetics they stand for. Check it out below.

Give It a Home: Volume 2 is available now as a name your price download via Bandcamp.

Blood Drunk Records is throwing a ‘Merica Party tonight at the Music Room. Swank Sinatra is headlining the show with Hello Cobra, Absence of Ocean and DJ Wolf also lined up to take the stage. Doors open at 9pm. $5 gets you in.
