This is very likely the last entry ever for Latest Disgrace. After roughly 1300 posts and well over half a million words on Atlanta music, I’m putting the blog on indefinite hiatus. It’s possible that I might bring it back sometime in the future, but it’s highly doubtful. Sometimes in order to move forward you have to step away from the past, and that’s what I’m doing now. It’s time to move on to bigger and better things, which does mean I’m NOT abandoning covering local music. I am, however, shifting away from this format to pursue something more comprehensive, collaborative and, hopefully, forward-thinking. Latest Disgrace was always something of a fortunate accident, and I’ve been lucky to meet and work with a lot of amazing and talented people over the past six years. You all know who you are, and I thank you deeply. To all the bands: Please continue sharing your music with me via email or social. The site will remain live in perpetuity to preserve all links and I’ll do my best to provide what coverage I can via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter until the new project is launched. We all know goodbyes suck, so I’m happy to be able to say I’ll see you again soon. Until then, don’t stop being amazing, ATL.
